Our guest was Rena Huber, former purchasing agent with Arizona Public Service and current director of APS’s AAAME program, the APS Academy for the Advancement of Small, Minority and Women-owned businesses.
On this call we focused on how a big company considers purchasing services or goods from a small, new, or unknown company. In Rena’s view, the size of your company was less important than her knowledge of your track record. So any company that was formerly unknown to the purchasing agents had to “become known” in order to reduce that fear of the unknown.
Rena also discusses specifically how you can get to know the purchasing agents who represent organizations that you want to do business with.
